# eReading vs 得到

The clearest difference is ratings volume: 得到 at 567 against eReading's 4. 得到 also leads on rating (4.0 vs 3.8) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). eReading's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. eReading sells 21 one-off in-app purchases and 得到 sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

得到 holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 得到 has 567 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of eReading's written reviews are positive against 60% of 得到's.

eReading ships an update every 2 months, 得到 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
