# WeathU vs Folklore Weather

The clearest difference is update cadence: Folklore Weather at every 10 days against WeathU's every 21 months. WeathU's advantage is iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WeathU sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Folklore Weather sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WeathU ships an update every 21 months, Folklore Weather every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
