# Jamba vs Kraken Coffee

The clearest difference is monetization model: Kraken Coffee at free against Jamba's free with in-app purchases. Kraken Coffee also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Jamba's advantage is ratings volume (134K vs 1) and chart position (#159 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Kraken Coffee holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jamba has 134K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
