# HoodPad vs Prixm

The clearest difference is rating: Prixm at 4.9 against HoodPad's 1.0. Prixm also leads on ratings volume (367 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). HoodPad's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HoodPad sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Prixm sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Prixm holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prixm has 367 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HoodPad ships an update every 2 months, Prixm every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
