# JioHotstar vs AiduPlay

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AiduPlay at 75% against JioHotstar's 15%. AiduPlay also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). JioHotstar's advantage is ratings volume (102K vs 4). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. JioHotstar sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 3 months and AiduPlay sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AiduPlay holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: JioHotstar has 102K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 15% of JioHotstar's written reviews are positive against 75% of AiduPlay's.

JioHotstar ships an update fortnightly, AiduPlay every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
