# JioHotstar vs Bhajans

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Bhajans at 100% against JioHotstar's 16%. Bhajans also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). JioHotstar's advantage is ratings volume (102K vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. JioHotstar sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 3 months. Bhajans asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bhajans holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: JioHotstar has 102K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 16% of JioHotstar's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bhajans's.

JioHotstar ships an update fortnightly, Bhajans monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
