# Purchasing Power vs LifeMart

The clearest difference is monetization model: LifeMart at free against Purchasing Power's free with in-app purchases. Purchasing Power's advantage is ratings volume (32K vs 2.2K). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Purchasing Power against 4.9 for LifeMart. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Purchasing Power has 32K ratings behind it against 2.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 21% and 21% positive.

Purchasing Power ships an update every 2 months, LifeMart every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
