The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AIM at none against Read&Write's 1. AIM also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). Read&Write's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 55 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Read&Write sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. AIM asks for nothing beyond the download.

Read&Write ships an update monthly, AIM every 55 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
