# iTextSpeaker vs BeatShift

The clearest difference is update cadence: BeatShift at weekly against iTextSpeaker's monthly. iTextSpeaker's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iTextSpeaker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BeatShift sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iTextSpeaker ships an update monthly, BeatShift weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
