# OpenEye Mobile vs LVT

The clearest difference is rating: LVT at 3.9 against OpenEye Mobile's 3.1. LVT also leads on monetization model (free vs subscription) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). OpenEye Mobile's advantage is review sentiment (30% vs 0%) and ratings volume (68 vs 11). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LVT holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OpenEye Mobile has 68 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of OpenEye Mobile's written reviews are positive against 0% of LVT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OpenEye Mobile ships an update every 3 months, LVT every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
