# Dawn vs SPSC

The clearest difference is rating: SPSC at 3.7 against Dawn's 2.1. SPSC also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Dawn's advantage is ratings volume (125 vs 3) and review sentiment (9% vs 0%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SPSC holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dawn has 125 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of Dawn's written reviews are positive against 0% of SPSC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dawn ships an update every 11 days, SPSC every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
