# Transfix vs TMS

The clearest difference is rating: Transfix at 4.8 against TMS's 3.0. Transfix also leads on ratings volume (4.6K vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). TMS's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Transfix holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transfix has 4.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Transfix ships an update every 3 weeks, TMS every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
