# Aexels vs omokake

The clearest difference is rating: omokake at 5.0 against Aexels's 4.5. Aexels's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 10 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. omokake sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Aexels asks for nothing beyond the download.

omokake holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aexels has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Aexels ships an update every 10 days, omokake every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
