# Basketball Blueprint vs Hoops Lab

Basketball Blueprint and Hoops Lab both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 70% of Basketball Blueprint's written reviews are positive against 33% of Hoops Lab's. Basketball Blueprint also leads on ratings volume (442 vs 13) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Hoops Lab's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Basketball Blueprint sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Hoops Lab asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hoops Lab holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Basketball Blueprint has 442 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Basketball Blueprint's written reviews are positive against 33% of Hoops Lab's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Basketball Blueprint ships an update every 2 months, Hoops Lab weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
