# swimsync vs Swim Standards

The clearest difference is rating: Swim Standards at 4.6 against swimsync's 3.0. Swim Standards also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (23 vs 2). swimsync's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. swimsync sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Swim Standards sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Swim Standards holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Swim Standards has 23 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of swimsync's written reviews are positive against 60% of Swim Standards's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

swimsync ships an update every 5 weeks, Swim Standards every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
