# Looper vs Loop Photo Frame

The clearest difference is rating: Looper at 4.4 against Loop Photo Frame's 3.9. Looper also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (4.9K vs 142). Loop Photo Frame's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Looper sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.19 per month. Loop Photo Frame asks for nothing beyond the download.

Looper holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Looper has 4.9K ratings behind it against 142, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Looper's written reviews are positive against 46% of Loop Photo Frame's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Looper ships an update fortnightly, Loop Photo Frame every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
