# TIM BETA vs Stix

The clearest difference is monetization model: TIM BETA at free against Stix's free with in-app purchases. TIM BETA also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Stix's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Stix holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 186 and 93 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of TIM BETA's written reviews are positive against 11% of Stix's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TIM BETA ships an update every 3 weeks, Stix every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
