# Xplorer Web Browser vs ProSurf

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Xplorer Web Browser at 100% against ProSurf's 50%. Xplorer Web Browser also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (8.1 vs 12.0). ProSurf's advantage is rating (3.2 vs 2.3) and in-app purchases (none vs 2). On price, ratings volume and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Xplorer Web Browser sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. ProSurf asks for nothing beyond the download.

ProSurf holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 2.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Xplorer Web Browser's written reviews are positive against 50% of ProSurf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Xplorer Web Browser ships an update every 2 weeks, ProSurf every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
