# Just The Tips vs SimpleCal

Just The Tips and SimpleCal both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 85% of SimpleCal's written reviews are positive against 60% of Just The Tips's. SimpleCal also leads on ratings volume (18K vs 3.1K) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Just The Tips sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and SimpleCal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SimpleCal holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SimpleCal has 18K ratings behind it against 3.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two.
