# Air Transat vs Ride Current

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Ride Current at 80% against Air Transat's 36%. Ride Current also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Air Transat's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 2.3) and ratings volume (6.3K vs 3). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Air Transat holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Air Transat has 6.3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Air Transat's written reviews are positive against 80% of Ride Current's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Air Transat ships an update every 6 weeks, Ride Current every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
