# Dolce Gusto Timer vs Countdown with widget

Dolce Gusto Timer and Countdown with widget both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 74% of Dolce Gusto Timer's written reviews are positive against 27% of Countdown with widget's. Dolce Gusto Timer also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Countdown with widget's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 21). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown with widget sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Dolce Gusto Timer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Countdown with widget holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown with widget has 2.1K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Dolce Gusto Timer's written reviews are positive against 27% of Countdown with widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dolce Gusto Timer ships an update fortnightly, Countdown with widget every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
