# PicStick vs Lightleap by Lightricks

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Lightleap by Lightricks at 99K against PicStick's 13. PicStick's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (10.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PicStick sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Lightleap by Lightricks sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for PicStick against 4.7 for Lightleap by Lightricks. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lightleap by Lightricks has 99K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PicStick ships an update every 6 days, Lightleap by Lightricks monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
