# Rankontre vs Dark18

The clearest difference is rating: Rankontre at 4.4 against Dark18's 3.8. Rankontre also leads on ratings volume (2.4K vs 176). Dark18's advantage is review sentiment (44% vs 18%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rankontre sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Dark18 sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rankontre holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rankontre has 2.4K ratings behind it against 176, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of Rankontre's written reviews are positive against 44% of Dark18's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rankontre ships an update every 3 weeks, Dark18 weekly. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
