# Stryd vs Run Freely 3D

The clearest difference is rating: Run Freely 3D at 5.0 against Stryd's 4.0. Stryd's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (240 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stryd sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per month and Run Freely 3D sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Run Freely 3D holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stryd has 240 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Stryd ships an update every 3 days, Run Freely 3D monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
