# Ritual vs Runner

The clearest difference is monetization model: Runner at free against Ritual's free with in-app purchases. Runner also leads on review sentiment (60% vs 42%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ritual ships an update every 5 weeks, Runner every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
