# G Adventures vs TrovaTrip

The clearest difference is rating: TrovaTrip at 3.7 against G Adventures's 1.8. G Adventures's advantage is ratings volume (102 vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TrovaTrip holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: G Adventures has 102 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of G Adventures's written reviews are positive against 0% of TrovaTrip's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

G Adventures ships an update weekly, TrovaTrip every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
