# Fan Smart Sync vs Smart Home

The clearest difference is rating: Smart Home at 4.5 against Fan Smart Sync's 2.2. Smart Home also leads on ratings volume (7.8K vs 147) and chart position (#52 vs unranked). Fan Smart Sync's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart Home sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Fan Smart Sync asks for nothing beyond the download.

Smart Home holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Home has 7.8K ratings behind it against 147, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Fan Smart Sync's written reviews are positive against 5% of Smart Home's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
