# Synonymy Lite vs LOK Digital

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Synonymy Lite at none against LOK Digital's 1. Synonymy Lite also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 13.0). LOK Digital's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 50%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LOK Digital sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Synonymy Lite asks for nothing beyond the download.

Synonymy Lite holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LOK Digital has 167 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Synonymy Lite's written reviews are positive against 83% of LOK Digital's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Synonymy Lite ships an update every 5 months, LOK Digital every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
