# Radiate vs Type Big

Radiate and Type Big both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Type Big's written reviews are positive against 65% of Radiate's. Radiate's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 19 months) and ratings volume (31K vs 4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Radiate sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Type Big sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Radiate against 5.0 for Type Big. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Radiate has 31K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 65% of Radiate's written reviews are positive against 100% of Type Big's.

Radiate ships an update every 10 days, Type Big every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
