# Radiate vs Proxima Chat

Radiate and Proxima Chat both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Proxima Chat's written reviews are positive against 65% of Radiate's. Proxima Chat also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10). Radiate's advantage is ratings volume (31K vs 23) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Radiate sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Proxima Chat asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Radiate against 5.0 for Proxima Chat. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Radiate has 31K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 65% of Radiate's written reviews are positive against 100% of Proxima Chat's.

Radiate ships an update every 10 days, Proxima Chat monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
