# Speedometer Simple vs Speedometer

Speedometer Simple and Speedometer both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 58% of Speedometer Simple's written reviews are positive against 27% of Speedometer's. Speedometer Simple also leads on ratings volume (129K vs 681). Speedometer's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speedometer Simple sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Speedometer sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Speedometer Simple against 4.6 for Speedometer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speedometer Simple has 129K ratings behind it against 681, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 58% of Speedometer Simple's written reviews are positive against 27% of Speedometer's.

Speedometer Simple ships an update fortnightly, Speedometer weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
