# Drops vs Speech2Math Calculator

The clearest difference is rating: Drops at 4.7 against Speech2Math Calculator's 2.3. Drops also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (72K vs 3). Speech2Math Calculator's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 17.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drops sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Speech2Math Calculator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drops holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drops has 72K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Drops ships an update weekly, Speech2Math Calculator every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
