# Drops vs Digit

The clearest difference is ads: Digit at none against Drops's shown. Digit also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). Drops's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (72K vs 6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drops sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Digit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drops holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drops has 72K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Drops ships an update every 8 days, Digit every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
