# Roller Polar vs Devolver Tumble Time

The clearest difference is update cadence: Devolver Tumble Time at fortnightly against Roller Polar's every 9 months. Devolver Tumble Time also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (923 vs 62). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Roller Polar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Devolver Tumble Time sells 17 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Devolver Tumble Time holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Devolver Tumble Time has 923 ratings behind it against 62, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Roller Polar's written reviews are positive against 56% of Devolver Tumble Time's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Roller Polar ships an update every 9 months, Devolver Tumble Time fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
