# Roller Polar vs qubotron

The clearest difference is update cadence: qubotron at weekly against Roller Polar's every 9 months. Roller Polar's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (62 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Roller Polar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and qubotron sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Roller Polar holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Roller Polar has 62 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Roller Polar's written reviews are positive against 67% of qubotron's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Roller Polar ships an update every 9 months, qubotron weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
