# Desktop Browser vs Shwidget

The clearest difference is rating: Desktop Browser at 4.4 against Shwidget's 3.4. Desktop Browser also leads on ratings volume (16K vs 5). Shwidget's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Desktop Browser sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days and Shwidget sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
