# Desktop Browser vs Go Browser

The clearest difference is rating: Go Browser at 4.7 against Desktop Browser's 4.4. Go Browser also leads on review sentiment (71% vs 52%) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). Desktop Browser's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 529). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Desktop Browser sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days and Go Browser sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Go Browser holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Desktop Browser has 16K ratings behind it against 529, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 52% of Desktop Browser's written reviews are positive against 71% of Go Browser's.

Desktop Browser ships an update fortnightly, Go Browser every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
