# Desktop Browser vs Invenio

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Invenio at 100% against Desktop Browser's 52%. Invenio also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and ads (none vs shown). Desktop Browser's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 4) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Desktop Browser sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days and Invenio sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Invenio holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Desktop Browser has 16K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 52% of Desktop Browser's written reviews are positive against 100% of Invenio's.

Desktop Browser ships an update fortnightly, Invenio every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
