# Desktop Browser vs Parry

The clearest difference is rating: Parry at 5.0 against Desktop Browser's 4.4. Parry also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Desktop Browser's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Desktop Browser sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days and Parry sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Parry holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Desktop Browser has 16K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Desktop Browser ships an update fortnightly, Parry every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
