# Daily Scripture vs ACTS XXIX

The clearest difference is monetization model: Daily Scripture at free against ACTS XXIX's ad-supported. Daily Scripture also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). ACTS XXIX's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (274 vs 42). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Daily Scripture against 4.9 for ACTS XXIX. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ACTS XXIX has 274 ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Daily Scripture's written reviews are positive against 99% of ACTS XXIX's.

Daily Scripture ships an update every 7 months, ACTS XXIX every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
