# F45 Playoffs vs Evolt Active

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: F45 Playoffs at none against Evolt Active's 3. F45 Playoffs also leads on rating (2.3 vs 2.0) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.1). Evolt Active's advantage is ratings volume (107 vs 9) and review sentiment (19% vs 10%). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Evolt Active sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. F45 Playoffs asks for nothing beyond the download.

F45 Playoffs holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Evolt Active has 107 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of F45 Playoffs's written reviews are positive against 19% of Evolt Active's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

F45 Playoffs ships an update every 6 weeks, Evolt Active every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
