# Pizza Edge vs The Mint

The clearest difference is update cadence: The Mint at every 2 weeks against Pizza Edge's every 7 months. The Mint also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (2K vs 89). Pizza Edge's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Mint holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Mint has 2K ratings behind it against 89, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 64% and 64% positive.

Pizza Edge ships an update every 7 months, The Mint every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
