# Teleprompter Pro vs The Aster

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: The Aster at none against Teleprompter Pro's 8. The Aster also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Teleprompter Pro's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (16K vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Teleprompter Pro sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. The Aster asks for nothing beyond the download.

The Aster holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Teleprompter Pro has 16K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Teleprompter Pro ships an update weekly, The Aster every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
