# shyftplan vs Hours Tracker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Hours Tracker at 96% against shyftplan's 24%. Hours Tracker also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). shyftplan's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 20) and rating (4.8 vs 4.4). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hours Tracker sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. shyftplan asks for nothing beyond the download.

shyftplan holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: shyftplan has 109 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of shyftplan's written reviews are positive against 96% of Hours Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
