# Teleprompter vs Transkriptor

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Teleprompter at 34K against Transkriptor's 1.1K. Teleprompter also leads on review sentiment (79% vs 62%) and chart position (#181 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Teleprompter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $59.99 per year and Transkriptor sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Teleprompter against 4.7 for Transkriptor. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Teleprompter has 34K ratings behind it against 1.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 79% of Teleprompter's written reviews are positive against 62% of Transkriptor's.

Teleprompter ships an update weekly, Transkriptor fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
