# Opus One vs SuperPlanner

The clearest difference is monetization model: SuperPlanner at free with in-app purchases against Opus One's subscription. SuperPlanner also leads on review sentiment (85% vs 66%). Opus One's advantage is ratings volume (977 vs 63) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Opus One sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and SuperPlanner sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Opus One holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Opus One has 977 ratings behind it against 63, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Opus One's written reviews are positive against 85% of SuperPlanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Opus One ships an update every 3 weeks, SuperPlanner fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
