# FOSDEM vs QRamen

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FOSDEM at none against QRamen's 4. QRamen's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 13 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QRamen sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. FOSDEM asks for nothing beyond the download.

FOSDEM ships an update every 13 months, QRamen every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
