# FITIV Pulse vs PaceBuddy

The clearest difference is rating: PaceBuddy at 5.0 against FITIV Pulse's 4.6. FITIV Pulse's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FITIV Pulse sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and PaceBuddy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PaceBuddy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FITIV Pulse has 13K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
