# Time Recording vs EmTiRec

The clearest difference is update cadence: Time Recording at every 5 days against EmTiRec's monthly. EmTiRec's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Recording sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.99 per year and EmTiRec sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Time Recording ships an update every 5 days, EmTiRec monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
