# Time Recording vs Hourly

The clearest difference is update cadence: Time Recording at every 5 days against Hourly's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Recording sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.99 per year and Hourly sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Time Recording ships an update every 5 days, Hourly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
